About Dr. Graham
As a young athlete, Dr. Graham experienced a series of injuries that rendered him unable to participate in the sport that was central to his life. Determined to help others avoid a similar outcome, he dedicated himself to a career in orthopaedics and sports medicine.
Dr. Graham is a graduate of Charlotte Country Day School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to get his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. After completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at The Ohio State University, he accepted a fellowship in Arthroscopy and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in Los Angeles at the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Santa Monica.
Practicing as a conventional orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Graham felt his investment in long-term patient outcomes was incomplete. He was determined to maximize his impact on the day-to-day work of recovery, where return to sport is ultimately earned. In 2018, he established Sporting Medicine to combine his passion for orthopaedic medicine with unrushed one-on-one care.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Graham serves as a Network Physician for the US Soccer Federation’s National Teams. Throughout his medical education, Dr. Graham studied with elite soccer athletes and their physicians. Following two seasons training under the medical staff for the Columbus Crew, he spent his fellowship working with the Los Angeles Galaxy, Chivas USA, and the US Soccer Federation’s sports medicine staff. In 2014 Dr. Graham accepted an opportunity to serve as a Network Physician for the US Soccer Federation, and has had the honor of serving as a team physician for over 30 international soccer matches.
Dr. Graham is a dad to two amazing little boys and likes to escape to the beach with his wife whenever possible. In his free time, he enjoys reading everything from historical non-fiction to techno-thriller novels.
